THE FAVERSHAM HOPPER

By Cllr Claire Martin Chair of the Community Transport Working Group

The Town Council has been successful in securing a grant from KCC’s Community Transport to set up a community bus service. With volunteer drivers, 17 seats, and a wheelchair lift, the bus will accept KCC Concessionary Bus Passes KCC have signed off the routes.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays the service will take in 5 villages Newnham, Doddington, Lynsted, Teynham and Oare with a loop of the town and on Wednesdays the service will be a loop of the town and Oare due to its close proximity to Faversham.

Full information about the service is available from 12 Market Place, the FTC website

and on our Facebook page.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who have come forward to drive the bus because without them giving their time, we would not be able to offer this

service and also Louise Bareham, Town Clerk and Rob Gibbs, Community Transport and Project Officer for all their hard work on getting this project off the ground.
