Faversham resident and Ex Conservative MP, Sir Roger Moate, passed away in April, aged 80. He was elected Member of Parliament for Faversham at the 1970 general election and served as MP until 1997. He was best known as once being labelled one of John Major’s infamous “bastards”. Moate was knighted in 1993. There will be Full obitutary to follow in the next Issue.
