Faversham’s proposed new Aldi store has been given the go-ahead.
The 1,715 sq m supermarket was approved by Swale planners, along with a Premier Inn hotel, on the Perry Court housing estate despite concerns over traffic congestion, damage to town centre businesses and the loss of rural land. The store and hotel development was supported by Faversham Town Council and will create up to 80 new jobs.
